Microencapsulation Workshops and Lab Courses by Dr. Curt Thies

Dr. Thies' Workshops and Lab Courses
The longest running lab course in the world devoted exclusively to the hands-on teaching of students on the synthesis of microcapsules using a variety of different techniques by an internationally renowned microencapsulation expert, Dr. Curt Thies.

The microencapsulation workshops combine lecture with hands-on laboratory demonstrations and are taught by Dr. Thies at Thies Technology in Henderson, Nevada. The course covers microencapsulation, characterization, microcapsules, nanocapsules, phase change materials, controlled release, gelation, interfacial polymerization, in situ, complex coacervation, microbeads, microspheres, polymer, gelatin, and custom encapsulation. Dr. Thies has taught How-To-Make Microcapsules™ and Nanocapsules globally for 28 years.

How To Make Nanocapsules ™ --- February 1-3, 2012
In response to current global interest in nanotechnology, Dr. Thies has developed a three day hands-on lab/lecture course focused exclusively on nanocapsules. It covers nanocapsule formation, preparation, and isolation. The course is format is modeled after his successful How to Make Microcapsules Short Course.
How To Make Microcapsules ™ --- March 7-9, 2012
Dr. Thies has taught this three day 'How-to-Make Microcapsules™' short course annually since 1981. It continues to evolve in order to keep pace with the steadily changing field of microencapsulation. It is the longest running lab/lecture course in the world devoted exclusively to the hands-on teaching of students on the synthesis of microcapsules by a variety of different techniques.
